Dire Consequences of not heeding MCO SOP
Welcome to “Guardian of Law”, I am Lawyer Khoo. The main purpose of making this film is to tell the public what the consequences will be if the “movement control order” is violated? Two days ago, I received a call from my brother and he told my dad that he did not know where he was going. In a moment of desperation, I called my dad and asked where my dad had gone. It turned out that he went shopping again. I asked my dad, do you wear a mask? He told me that he did not wear a mask.
Ok, I want to tell you people not to go out at this moment. I want to tell if you violate the movement control order, if you are charged to court, you will face a fine of no more than RM 1000, or sentenced to jail for no more than 6 months, or both.
Think about it, in this short 14 days you stayed at home and you are not going well. What would you do if you were caught in jail? I want to tell you that the prisons in Malaysia are not like the ones we watched on TVB Drama. Or if you look at prisons in foreign countries, they have their own toilets, TV, and beautiful beds, and the food is delicious.
The prisons in Malaysia are terrifying. First, the cell space is very small. Second, the number of people is large. Thirdly, it is not ideal in terms of hygiene. Fourth, the food is very scary. The rice is really dry, and the fish is also the kind of dry fish without sauce. Also, if you want to go to the toilet, you have to make additional arrangements.
Think about it, you have a toilet at home now. If you live in Landed Property, you have a park. If you have a small garden outside your own home, you can walk around. Or if your home has a beautiful bed and the air conditioner blows to you, you can’t stand it anymore. What will you do if you enter the cell for 6 months?
One more thing is that once you are caught by the police, the first thing is that the police will not immediately bring you to court. The police will put you in a police prison if they catch you. He has the right to detain you for no more than 7 days. Think about it, if he arrests two people a day, he will arrest 14 people within 7 days. This is a conservative estimate. We don’t know whether any of these 14 people has contracted new coronary pneumonia. And within these 14 days, if you are arrested, your child, your wife, and your husband must be very impatient. Who will they find to rescue you? They will definitely not find their relatives and friends, they will definitely say: We will find a lawyer we know, hurry up and bail me.
Everyone, from March 18th to March 31st, the law firm was closed. So if you want to see your wife, husband, or your children, or your relatives and friends, it is useless if they try to find a lawyer to bail you, because there is no lawyer’s office. What should you do?
So everyone, Uncle Auntie, don’t run out again. I tell you, if you run outside again, no lawyer can bail you. If it is really charged in court, this is my observation. It may be right or wrong. Usually because this new coronavirus is very, very serious in Malaysia. Therefore, usually the first person to be charged in court will be given a heavier penalty by the judge.. Let us tell the other people of Malaysia that the consequences of violating this movement control order are so serious.
That’s all for today’s video. Everyone, share this video to your relatives and friends and tell them the seriousness. Tell them that if it is really convicted, the fine will not exceed RM 1,000 , the jail sentence will not exceed 6 months, or both, so please do not make this mistake again.
